White Knoll’s Caleb Geronomi Nominated for 2026 Bridge Builder Excellence Award
White Knoll High School senior Caleb Geronomi(Opens in a new window) has been officially nominated for the prestigious 2026 Bridge Builder Excellence Award (BBEA). Presented by the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame (SCFHOF)(Opens in a new window), this honor recognizes a high school football student-athlete who exemplifies excellence on the field, in the classroom, and within their community.
A Legacy of Excellence
Geronomi, a versatile standout for the Timberwolves, has consistently demonstrated the "total package" qualities the award seeks. The BBEA selection process is rigorous, evaluating nominees based on three critical pillars:
  • Football Excellence (40%): A dynamic playmaker in all three phases of the game, Geronomi recorded 65 receptions for 975 yards and five touchdowns in a single season. Defensively, he added 32 tackles and two interceptions.
  • Academics (30%): Maintaining a high standard in the classroom, Geronomi holds a 3.410 GPA, well above the award’s 3.2 core minimum requirement.
  • Character and Leadership (30%): Recognized as a "student of the game," Geronomi is noted for his leadership and high football IQ, frequently seeking ways to improve both himself and his team.
Future as a Richmond Spider
Following his standout career at White Knoll, Geronomi is set to take his talents to the collegiate level. He has signed to play for the University of Richmond Spiders. By joining the Spiders, he will reunite with his older brother, Devin Geronomi, who is currently a defensive back for the program.
Award Timeline
The Top 3 finalists for the 2026 award will be honored at the 13th Annual Enshrinement Ceremony on April 16, 2026, at Hotel Hartness in Greenville, South Carolina. All nominees will also be celebrated on #BBEA26Day with a special recognition ceremony on May 8, 2026.
