White Knoll Football Introduces Victor Floyd as New Head Coach

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Victor Floyd was formally introduced as the new head football coach at White Knoll High School Friday afternoon at the school.

Floyd's hiring was approved Tuesday evening by the Lexington One School Board but it wasn't until Thursday evening when the Chester school district gave its approval to let Floyd out of his contract, clearing the way for him to formally be announced as the new head coach in Red Bank.

Floyd spent a total of 15 years at Chester including the last 11 and in 2018, he guided the Cyclones to an undefeated season and the program's first state championship.

His first head coaching job was in 1998 at C.A. Johnson and he says the chance to come back to the Midlands. 

Floyd replaces Nick Pelham who left to take over the program at Lake Wylie High School in Clover.

The new head football coach of the Timberwolves is someone who knows what it is like to win a state championship.
